Shane Davies became a director of IBACAS in 2004.

Shane began his banking career in 1993, when he moved to London from New Zealand and joined Citibank. His initial role was as a team member using a newly developed front end system, amending instructions on trades for automatic matching. A year later he moved into the Corporate Actions group, processing European cash and stock optional dividends. In 1996, Shane moved to Morgan Stanley, where he continued processing dividends within a Broker Dealer environment.

In 1997, Shane became an independent consultant and moved into project based roles. His first role was with Nomura Bank, testing a corporate action system within a user acceptance environment for implementation into production.

Shane has since been involved in a number of project roles, including test co-ordination, business analysis, test execution and system implementation. Products include Corporate Actions, Stock Record and Electronic Customer Delivery systems. In addition, Shane has been involved in projects within the telecommunications and insurance industries.

Prior to joining IBACAS Shane worked for ABN Amro, where he assisted with the business analysis for implementing a new stock record system, as well as having responsibility for coordination of all testing activity.
